Breathless

'Breathless' is a journey through the changed landscape of our Covid-19 world, as seen through the eyes of Emily, a frontline health care worker. It takes the reader through the ups and downs of life as a health care professional during a pandemic, as well as the challenges for her family, the struggle of her patients for survival and of her own struggle for physical and emotional wellbeing. It shares with the reader the effects of the pandemic on all Emily’s relationships; the strain of being the absent parent, the preoccupied wife, the inattentive friend. And how these strains bring dramas of their own and temptations to which, in ordinary times, she would never succumb.
