Dad And Daughter Conversations: Things a father would like his daughters to know

This book was inspired by the author being a father of two daughters. His natural desire to look out for them created within him increased awareness of some of the issues young women (and even older women) deal with, and how society contributes to moulding the world around them and shaping their worldview. In the book Nhlanhla Shezi shares some of the conversations he have had and continues to have with his girls about the journey of growing up as a young woman, discovering yourself and setting yourself up to reach your full potential. It is unique in that it is written from a father's angle, whilst women oriented empowerment books are typically written by women.

One of the issues that inspired the book is the historical bias of society against women, still evident today. So, in the book, the author is attempting to drive home the message that young women possess the same capabilities as their male counterparts.
